Description
Bright red lights atop The Stahlman building downtown shine the call letters “WKDF.” Operating since early 1970, the radio station affectionately known as simply “KDF”, broadcasted hard rock in some variety throughout the 80s but it wasn’t until the early 90s that they began experimenting with alternative rock. They eventually gave up the ghost and became a country station in 1999 but for a solid decade, they provided Nashville with loads of classic rock.
