After operating for 40 years, JJ’s Market shuttered in 2018. The business was a coffee shop, bodega, magazine oasis, a place to buy your Djarum Black’s or play a game of chess. It was an absolute mainstay for thousands of regulars. Longtime residents will remember the Great Escape nestled across the street and a complete absence of karaoke bars invading the neighborhood.
