Description
From 1989 to 1996, Nashville residents would flock down to Municipal Auditorium to catch some barnburners on the ice as The Nashville Knights represented the city for the East Coast Hockey League. Sometimes it would be an absolute gongshow as the fans chirped at the opposing team in an attempt to light the lamp! Occasionally there would be a yard sale that would put players in the sin-bin but the Knights were no hosers, they were top shelf. Okay, so we don’t know a thing about hockey but they had a helluva logo.
The Knights last game was in April 1996 and they departed the city. They’re now known as Pensacola Ice Pilots but if you’re looking to pay tribute to Nashville hockey, just grab yourself some tickets to a Predators game and cheer on Gnash and the gang. Just don’t bring a dang catfish; that’s disgusting.
