Description
Opened in April of 1976, New Life Records offered a wide range of vinyl records, t-shirts, posters, and various music-related equipment. Perhaps more importantly, it offered an equally wide range of hookahs, pipes, bubblers and other adult entertainment. The Charlotte Ave shop had a bright neon in the window depicting a hatching duckling with sunglasses declaring “We Be Jammin’.” We haven’t quite gotten to the source of that mascot but we’ve got an idea where it came from. ✌️
