Description
Located in the heart of Inglewood, Riverside Village is approximately two blocks long but has hosted a multitude of beloved businesses. People of a certain age will quickly recall Fond Object; the record store, venue, clothing outlet and workspace with a massive Tim Kerr mural of Joe Meek painted on the side that was unceremoniously torn down to make way for a taco shop. People of a different age will remember the meat-and-three Bailey & Cato, unceremoniously torn down to make room for a parking lot.
Riverside Village has seen a lot of closures over the years – Rudies, Old Made Good, Castrillo’s, Yellow & Lavender, and lou to name a few – but it has produced some neighborhood anchors and delightful newcomers – Mitchell’s Deli, Village Pub, Dose, Bite-a-bit and Sabell’s among them.
