Description
When The Edgefield Sports Bar & Grill opened on Woodland St in 1994, the only other bar nearby was The Corner Tavern (known best as 3 Crow Bar or Slow Bar, depending on your time spent in Nashville). Over the next 25 years, the neighborhood would gather to play pool and darts, scarf down a tasty cheeseburger, and imbibe in plenty of raucous conversation.
The smoke filled spot closed in 2019 as the owner, Charlie “Buzz” Edens, felt that it was time to retire. If you wanna pay tribute, grab a drink over at the new Lakeside Lounge – it’s largely the same as it ever was minus the haze of cigarettes.
